In cooperation with the Verkehrsschule Zug<\/strong>, we present various traffic situations under the heading “From the field”. In 2018 we will introduce you to the four seasons with their respective characteristics, pitfalls, and dangers regarding driving.<\/h5>\n

How are the road conditions?<\/b><\/p>\n

With the warmer temperatures in spring, we are looking forward to pleasant road conditions without snow and ice. But even in the transition period, there is a risk of skidding, especially in the early morning hours or in shady places. After frosty nights, individual road sections can be covered with frost or even black ice. The fog also ensures that some roads are still slippery in the morning. An adapted driving style is therefore advisable.<\/span><\/p>\n

Roads need to be repaired in some places, where frost and wetness have left dangerous cracks or potholes. Increased construction sites are the result of this and partly hinder our rapid progress. Be considerate around the construction site and pay special attention to people in confusing places.<\/span><\/p>\n

How do we feel?<\/b><\/p>\n

On the one hand, there is the well-known spring fatigue that hurts many car drivers: If your eyelids become heavy and you notice a slight shiver, coupled with frequent yawning, it is time for an extended break. Neither Lane Keeping Assist nor various rear-end warning systems can prevent an accident caused by microsleep. Furthermore, the incipient pollen count can make life difficult behind the wheel, especially for people with severe allergies. Whether sneezing attacks, a runny nose or watery eyes: concentration is impaired in every case, sometimes even severely. Therefore, affected persons should always drive with closed windows and occasionally have the pollen filter checked and replaced if necessary.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text]
