Road safety: practical examples<\/strong><\/p>\n

In cooperation with the Verkehrsschule Zug, we present various traffic situations under the heading \u201cFrom the field\u201d. Using practical examples, we explain 1:1 the correct traffic rules.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The opening of the Zug\/Baar tangent road last June marked the completion of an impressive project after about four years of construction. This has significantly changed the road network between Zug and Baar; cars from the mountain communities do not drive into the city of Zug to get onto the freeway but take the route via Baar.<\/p>\n

A striking section of the tangent road is the Geissb\u00fcel Tunnel, the first road tunnel in the canton. Especially for cyclists and e-bikers, uncertainties began to arise shortly after the opening. Does the ban on bicycles passing through also apply to e-bikes? Pushing the bike would be allowed, but is it feasible?<\/p>\n

Due to the aforementioned circumstance, we would like to remind you of the most important traffic signals for cyclists and e-bike riders. Special attention should be paid to the possible differentiation between bicycles, e-bikes with a maximum speed of 25 km\/h and e-bikes that can move up to 45 km\/h.[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”15936″ img_size=”large” onclick=”custom_link” img_link_target=”_blank” link=”https:\/\/www.verkehrsschule.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Seiten-aus-VCS_Verkehrssignale_Velo-und-E-Bike.pdf”][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”15938″ img_size=”large” onclick=”custom_link” img_link_target=”_blank” link=”http:\/\/www.verkehrsschule.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Seiten-aus-VCS_Verkehrssignale_Velo-und-E-Bike-2.pdf”][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]In addition to the above traffic signals, we have also recently spotted a yellow bicycle and arrow against a black background displayed at a junction in the canton of Zug (G\u00f6bli-\/Industriestrasse). Cyclists are legally allowed to turn right at the red light. The right turn on red was incorporated into Swiss road traffic law as of January 2021. Where the above-mentioned signal is installed, the right turn on red is allowed for bikes, mopeds or even E-Trotti. Of course, do so with the necessary caution because other road users have a green light at the same time.
