Verkehrsschule Zug donates CHF 1,000 to the”Kinderdemenz Schweiz” foundation<\/strong><\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]The association of independent driving instructors is committed to charitable causes every year and donates part of its income from driving lessons. This year, a donation of CHF 1,000 was collected and presented to the still young \u2018Kinderdemenz Schweiz\u2019 foundation, which was only founded in 2021.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””][\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Childhood dementia (NCL, neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis) is a rare metabolic disease that has hardly been researched to date. This incurable disease progresses inexorably and usually leads to an early death. Children who develop NCL usually go blind, suffer from epilepsy and gradually lose their cognitive and motor skills until they usually die between the ages of 20 and 30.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Roman K\u00fcng, President of the \u2018Kinderdemenz Schweiz\u2019 foundation, presented the foundation and its aims to Sven Meier, President of the Zug traffic school, and his team of driving instructors. These include<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

– Support for affected families in Switzerland<\/p>\n

– Promoting research into the disease<\/p>\n

– Raising public awareness of the issue<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

“We didn’t realise that dementia can also affect children! It’s terrible to imagine not being recognised by your own child and having to bear this fate as a family. We are therefore convinced that our donation is going to the right place and can help affected children and their families,\u2019 says Sven Meier on behalf of the entire team aVerkehrsschule Zug.<\/p>\n
